We are a small, non-profit, grassroots dog rescue started in December 2009 when we became aware of the immediate need to rescue abandoned and abused dogs in the Los Reales Landfill area of Tucson AZ known as "Dogpatch". Since December 2009 we have helped over 100 animals find a better life, and continue helping not only the animals in need, but assisting the residents of this low income area with the care of their pets. By educating residents about low- and no-cost spay and neuter programs, responsible pet ownership, and holding free vaccination clinics, we are hoping to stop the cycle of unwanted pregnancy, abuse, neglect, sickness, and death that has occurred in this area for generations.
